Researchers keeping an eye on endangered lizards in Mackenzie Basin (One News)

Researchers from the Te Manahuna Aoraki conservation project are studying endangered lizards in the Upper Mackenzie Basin and Aoraki Mount Cook National Park.

By monitoring lizards the project gets good baseline data to help understand where predator control will best protect them. Over time we can identify any change in lizard numbers – by comparing sites with, and without, predator control we can assess the impact of trapping.
